Heather founded P31 Studio to bring a clinical standard of care to paramedical tattooing in the Carolinas. Her work is focused entirely on scar camouflage and stretch mark restoration, procedures that ask for a different kind of precision than decorative tattooing.
Two disciplines, one focus.
Paramedical tattooing sits at the intersection of two disciplines Heather trained in separately: the technical precision of clinical-grade tattoo work, and an eye for skin tone, texture, and how both change as they heal.
She pursued advanced training specifically in scar and stretch mark camouflage, work that standard tattoo apprenticeships do not cover, because getting it right takes more than a steady hand. It takes an honest read of how a particular scar, on a particular body, is actually going to heal.
That is the standard every client at P31 Studio can expect: an assessment before a plan, and a plan before a needle ever touches skin.

Paramedical work is not artistry over skill. It is a clinical procedure that requires both.
Needle depth is calibrated in real time to how a specific area is healing. Pigment is formulated to settle naturally within the dermal layer rather than sit on top of it, or oxidize into a tone that no longer matches. None of it is standardized, because no two scars, and no two clients, respond the same way.
This is the philosophy behind every consultation at P31 Studio: your skin sets the plan, not a script.
Training never really stops.
Paramedical tattooing changes as pigments, tools, and technique advance, so continuing education stays part of the job long after certification. Heather regularly trains alongside other paramedical and skin artists to keep P31 Studio's standard current.
Outside the studio.
Heather is a Charlotte-area native through and through. Born and raised just across the state line in Lake Wylie, South Carolina, she now calls Charlotte home.
Outside of work, you'll usually find her spending time with her pup Molly, soaking up time with family and friends, or planning the next trip.
